Hi everyone

We are wondering if anyone can find some great deals flying Melbourne to Novosibirsk for our daughter and her boyfriend departing around the 15th December then return on or about the 10th january. They have some flexability on the dates.

They will be flying econonmy and will have all Visa required.

Look forward to your help with this as we need to find best prices utilising One World if possible as they are only poor students LOL. Howver we may well end up funding the trip as usual :)

Fly MEL-BKK on Jetstar. Overnight in BKK and catch the S7 flight from BKK-OVB the following day.
 
I'm seeing Mel to Shanghai to Beijing to Novosibirsk for $1695 for dates in Dec. You would need a travel agent to book though and it's on Air China and S7.
 
On S7 and Air China, using http://www.s7.ru (when it's working) it should be about RUB37,000 ($A1200-ish) if you leave 16/12, return 11/1. I doubt you'll find cheaper.

Thanks everypne that is the best I could find too but really wanted one world airlines and not so keen on the lay over time Have alos looked at MEL-BKK-OVB so will keep trying

MELso thank you for your response I am well aware that S7 is One World however please correct me if I am wrong but Air China is not Am I correct? Hence my note would prefer all to be on Oneworld..

You're going to struggle there as Oneworld does not market any continuous flights from Mel - Novo. Hence why Air China is coming into the mix as this is who S7 is codesharing with.
