I'm looking at a reasonably priced business class fare on Asiana next year - $2660 for LAX - NRT - KIX - SIN

I've read a few mixed reviews on their business class seating and IFE, but the reviews were a bit old

Does anyone have recent experience with the Asian Business product?

I'm thinking $1600 extra over the SQ economy flight would be worth it, though with Asiana I have an overnight in ICN, but was thinkign to extend it by a day or 2 since I've not been to Seoul before.

Hi Jeffrey O'Neill

I'm probably too late to be of use, but I really liked Asiana in J. In saying that, I don't entirely agree with its claim to fame on the skytrax leaderboard (came in 1st in 2010, 2nd in 2011 and 2012) - i've had much better flights on some of the Middle Eastern carriers.

The cabin crew are almost robotic and struggle with english (good luck trying to ask for something that is off-script). The food was always above average in quality and I was always full after each meal. The seats are variable in business, because there are three different business products on the long haul fleet. I got to try all three, but the best is the QS seating which is on a few (but not all) of Asiana's 777 fleet. Cabin temperatures were always really hot, which I found quite irritating.

I flew on the A330 a couple of weeks ago and my trip report can be found here. Additional trip reports for the other three flights will come soon.

on my 3 OZ flights the crew spoke perfectly good english, no problems there at all.
