Not sure if everybody is aware about this so thought I would pass it on.

Just tried to book a reward flight on Cathay and noted that all go up on the 15 October 2007. The breakdown on the structure is quite interesting, I was just wondering if anybody knows if Qantas will follow suit? They have comapnion awards, unrestricted awards!

In the time frame mentioned (since 1999), QF have already had two major changes (2001 & 2005 IIRC) to award redemption structures. However, we're due any time for further enhancements to the program.

Qantas has already said they will be making changes to be announced later this year for implementation 6 months after they are announced. This is expected to include, but is not necessarily limited to, the ability to redeem any seat on a flight.
