Hi All,
Trying to book a redemption on a combined QF/CX itinerary (HBA-MEL-HKG and return), and neither their website or whatsapp chat can see the domestic QF sector as available./ I have verified AA can see the seats and they are shown as classic rewards on QF, Economy and business available.
They are on A220 operated by Qantaslink. For the same date the Cathay site has no issues showing SYD-MEL sectors on QF. So perhaps this is a qantaslink related issue? I have confirmed Qantaslink availability with them on Whatsapp before (last year), but didnt actually book it.
Also checked SYD-CBR and saw same issue, all Qantaslink services the day I chose with wide open availability on QF.
Anyone run into this issue and know a workaround? I just want to add it in to protect the connection in MEL on the way out mainly, happier to be unprotected on the way home.
I know can see similar issues on BA for Qantaslink, which is fixed by calling to book, but if the agent on Whatsapp cant see, I am unsure if this will help.
