ASA - Fare Valuation - ? Invoice

Sitting on a Tokyo train, I had this Q.

Is there anyway you could show the fare value of a JASA/FASA as in $ terms to a 3rd party ?

If feasible, that would be very nice indeed.

No points, just equivalent $ valuation.

I would be interested to know too, work out how much i save using points each year..

Under Manager My Booking if you click on the Cancel button it takes you to a page which displays the itinerary and the cost of the trip in $. There is no mention of points.

I was going to say, if you search for an "equivalent" revenue fare you can use that as a guide - but it looks like you are after the value of the already booked ASA.

Just tried aikman's method which is as good as any that I know of. However it does value my booking at ~$15k less than the *equivalent* revenue fare for the same time.

In saying that, if there is another method I would be most grateful to be informed of it by anyone that wishes to share.
