I just cleared security at WAW through the Fast Track lane. There were no signs at all with instructions of what to remove from bags etc., and no security staff at the unpacking point to ask. So, I figured it wasn't necessary to remove my laptop and sent my bag through.
Walked through the scanner, my bag went through and - surprise, surprise - I got told off for not removing my laptop from the bag.
I politely told the security staff that there were no signs and nobody to ask. He told me that, since this was the business class line, they assume that everyone is a frequent traveller and already knows the rules - so no need for signs. I told him that even frequent travellers may not know the rules because every airport has different rules. He didn't seem to understand this concept and just told me "well it's always been this way in Warsaw".
