Has Air NZ forgotten that an average successful Australian earns $250K per year and we don't want to fly Economy Class and have someone sitting next to me?

Works deluxe when it first launched was an excellent product. It included priority boarding, check in, lounge access, express lanes at AU/NZ airports, better headphones, a bottle of water on boarding but also a guaranteed middle seat free. Slowly year by year they removed benefit by benefit and now the whole product doesn’t exist.

Exactly. They have removed the premium product and Air NZ is no longer appealing to Aussie Premium Passengers.
How dare would they abandon the most high paying passengers across the ditch and gift those to Qantas? I am absolutely think they are doing suicide on Trans-Tasman business for that.
Honestly, just return Business Class and introduce lifetime Koru membership will bring back a lot of Aussie travellers, and also enhance the Virgin Australia partnership to both ways.

Can' really do that if Virgin Australia as being shown as "not interested" unless if VA receives a larger commission cut (than the current one way 'travel agent' partnership) for putting its passengers on NZ Tasman services. This isn't the Borghetti era anymore.

NZ also has a documented aircraft shortage and I can't see them taking aircraft out of services to fit 12 recliner J seats if their Tasman market is mostly VFR/Leisure.
