"Arrivals" access Singapore for WP's

Hi All

I know that technically there is no arrivals access in SIN unless on an onwards QF or OW flight.

Has anyone had experience of being granted access when onward journey is non OW?

Was to arrive on QF37 with 1 hour transfer time to LH but now switched to QF35 and have 5.5 hours to spare. Relieved in some ways as 1 hour was going to be tight given QF37 on time record....but now have a big wait without lounge access (unless I can get TK to do a status match).

Remember that QF35 has an Achilles Heel.

QF 35 is an A380 operating MEL-SIN after it operates LAX-MEL as QF94. The ground time in MEL is a schedule 2:30hrs. Barely enough time to turnaround an A380 let alone any delays out of LAX and the occasional divert to SYD (as happened yesterday).

So yesterday QF35 departed MEL at 1433 and arrived into SIN at 1911hrs. Previously, the aircraft did LAX-SYD (divert) -MEL and arrived into MEL at 1206, 14 minutes before scheduled departure as QF35.
