I received a nice email this afternoon from VFF outlining my VA flying over the past few years. I assume everyone will get it over the next day or two.

Of interest, I am supposed to be in the top 1% of VA travellers over the past 12 months. I assume most WP are in the 1% however...

All my VA flights were domestic as well.

Top 5% here.

A fail of an email as none of their numbers don't add up to my actual flight history in fact it's no where near close.

Top 3% here, which I think is highly unlikely!

I would estimate that the distance quoted is for VA marketed and operated flights over the past twelve months only. I would expect my distance flown to be at least twice that shown once all SQ and DL flights are added in...

I don't even need to receive the e:mail to know I'm in the Top 100%! Sad thing i have not flown VA for something like 14 years. Just don't know really why but booking internally its just straight onto the QF website. Must give them a go soon.

I do like the style of the e:mail though.

Top 1%, which was a bit surprising actually. Nice email though, makes you feel like they care.

3% but "Big Data" fail.... As stated above, numbers/history don't stack up for those of us that made the shift post AN collapse and later the start of VFF...

But the J discount offer could be interesting?

4% here... quite surprised! Discount code is nice but VA J is hard work...

I was 3% on QF when they told you that stuff and sent you that flashy magazine...

Yeah, looks like only VA-coded flights are counted! Top 4% from just over 35000 km here...

The part I found most hilarious is the mismatch between the "since you joined us X days ago" and the "you first took off on a flight". They know I've been a member since 2005, but really think I didn't take a flight until 2012? They must only be counting VA-coded flights (my first was an international leg), ignoring all the DJ-flights before that, despite all of it crediting to the same VFF account!

Note stats are last 12 months except the first one (days since joining).

I'll join the pi$$ing contest  not bad for BIS domestic Y while maintaining QF WP as well.

I'm 8% with 31 sectors and 23,189kms. Only VA flight numbers counted.

I'm SG so will investigate the difference between 30% off J and Elevate fares for my next bookings. Hardly enticing for a WP with J certificates to use though.

They never included a % with my email. I guess with 9,954 kms I would be in the top 99%?

Apparently I joined 4,346 days ago and first took on a flight from OOL-SYD on January 2013. VA0540 in case you were wondering. Umm no. I flew well before January 2013 but why let the facts cloud the email sent.

Oh and thanks for the 30% off business class. Any $200 domestic business airfares around?

I didn't get an email and i'm a WP funnily enough my mum who is a SG got it and she is in the top 7%

At first, I thought it was an elaborate phishing email as every one of my stats were considerably incorrect, even the easiest to ascertain, length of time in the program. It shows how long I've been a member on the very first page when I log into my account (which appears accurate at 2006 in my case) yet my email says I've been a member since 2013 ... which is roll over date to Sabre IIRC. VA and their IT woes continue.

Mind you, I'm happy about 30% off J, even if it is a one time use only. Let's hope this kind of thing continues as this reads like it's meant as a reward for frequent VA flyers, something they've been exceptionally adverse to doing in the past.

(edited to make sense since the thread shift)

Yeah top 1% here with like 75k miles flow or something of the likes. And as well all VA domestic. :)
