Sydney sider all the way!
Even when I was posted to the a$$ ends of the earth, I still managed to claw my way back.

There was a time we were thinking of packing up and moving to Cairns. Maybe that wouldn't have been such a bad idea, but with a girl in school, we are staying put, over priced city or not!

Born only 35 nautical miles from where I now live, but 230+ km by land.

Not a nomad and not a child of the world, but I have to say I've seen a few places between then and now.

"child of the world". Have moved house well over 50 times, and never know what to say to the oft asked question "where are you from?". I usually say "everywhere" or "nowhere" depending on how many wines I have had..... Wouldn't change a thing though!!

Definitely "Child of the World". Born and raised SI NZ, married and 11 years in UK and Yurp. Returned to NZ, even spent 3 1/2 years just up the road from where I grew up - and hated it!!

Took the first opportunity to leave NZ, now in WA and loving it!! Can't wait to take Aussie citizenship, found where I want to be (luckily my lovely wife agrees).

Child of the World here....... and indeed, this is now "home" for me. Wouldn't change a single thing:!:

So will you hand in your AB jumper as well?

I'm not saying where I was born (it's a question on most security checks after all!) but we moved from there when I was 2 anyway. Would love to be a child of the world, but am living with a "home is where the heart is" who is proving to be a little stuck in his ways! I'm gradually prying him away to various places, and have planted the seed of moving overseas in his head :)

Born in country Victoria. Moved to the UK after uni at age 23 where I stayed for 8 years, the the US for graduate school and work (12 years), Germany for 11 years, back in the UK for 7 years and now back in Melbourne for the past 2 years. I supervise a mental health program in Japan and spent 4 months there last year on site. I feel like a citizen of the world.

Born in Shepparton, well nearby anyway, moved to Melbourne at 21, and realised some years ago that my chosen side of town was not near the airport. Still in Melbourne, and will probably head to qld for a few years, but no doubt will end up back in Melbourne.

I voted "Home is where the heart is...." but it has been a long journey.

- Born in a small village in Greece
- at 7 years of age moved to a small regional town ~60kms ways for ~18 months
- at 8 years of age moved to Australia and lived in Young, NSW, for ~4 months
- at 9 years of age moved to Sydney and have never lived outside this suburb, and have been 38 years in the same house and no intention of leaving it, ever
- at 19 years of age lived in Bathurst and attended Mitchell College
- at 44 years of age move to Brisbane to work

and no matter where I am located my heart is always in Sydney....
