Taxpayer risk from Federal Government Qantas debt guarantee - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

discussing the current Qantas dilemma and as to whether poor management, poor customer satisfaction are the real factors in QF decline and how has this situation resulted in the need for federal govt funding.

What are the real reasons of QF decline? Your opinions please? JoyV

Poor decision making from the CEO and the board.

I don't quite understand why they have waited this long unless the intention is to break up Qantas.

I actually think Qantas is the meat in the sandwich between two political parties trying to jamm each other.

QF has so many disadvantages flying its own metal internationally I would notbe surprised if ultimately it is only the US routes it can compete on
