I have just realised today that out of the very few QF codeshares remaining on BA metal out of LHR (I think only 6 routes remaining, including Leeds, Toulouse and Stockholm..) the LHR-ARN might disappear sooner than later. In fact, EK will be flying daily to ARN direct from DXB starting September 4. Anyone knows if the six or so remaining QF codeshare out of LHR are here to stay or they will be cancelled as soon as EK starts flying to these destinations? A mock booking shows QF flight numbers for LHR-ARN are still available until next year, but I guess they could disappear overnight? I don't think the EK flight DXB-ARN has a QF flight number assigned yet.

This would be sad as I still enjoy transiting through LHR on my way to ARN...:(

Re: Are QF codeshare flights on BA LHR-ARN under imminent threat from EK expansion..

After taking my first QF flight this month I guess I can now partially answer my own question. So Stockholm has simply vanished from the QF destination maps at the end of the Australian Way magazine. This way I imagine in a few months QF will be able to say that their new alliance with EK now offers a new European destination to QF customers, namely STOCKHOLM!!!
