Are other airlines also as bad as Qantas?

I decided to visit Qantas website to book a holiday.. SYD > RVN > CTS > SYD. All of these destinations are serviced by Qantas partner airlines. (RVN is in northern Finland and CTS is in Sapporo, Japan.) Qantas couldn't help but there was no problem on lastminute or webjet. Do Qantas want business?

Agree, Qantas search engine makes using partner airlines almost impossible to find, unless there is some thing in it for Qantas. I am just planning a trip now, but using other search engines for the trip, and when completed, will look at the Qantas site to see how far away they are in price etc. As we are retired with no company paying our fares, and only fly J, maintaining FF status is too expensive, so we got off the Platinum merry go round. Some great deals on the search engines.

I think QF see quite a size of their projected business as code shares on others' metal.
