Are my Status calculations for 2013 going to make me silver?

Hey all,

I'm so wanting to make it to silver status, that other then travelling for fun (annual leave); I've been making myself/updating a spreadsheet (ie: since last year!) to workout whats needed to lift me over the bronze line.

I haven't yet added or booked another flight with Malaysian airlines, as they are no yet listed with the FF program OneWorld, but have listed it in the spreadsheet for you all to see.

Cut to the crust: Will I make it to silver / are my calculations CORRECT thus far?

Re the first three trips, MEL-SYD-HKG-MEL, are they in full Y? If not then they will only earn half the SCs you've listed.

It is likely to depend on whether your international flights are in Y as your spreadsheet seems to assume. If your flights are booked online, this is unlikely.

Really need your exact booking classes to confirm this.

MileageMonkey is a good way to check SC's
As above very few flights earn full economy SC's

Hvr / oz_mark: I would assume they are full Y class. Purchased through points + pay on the Q. website. Receipt shows it as economy, no use of the word full or discount.

Mwenenzi: Thanks for the site, will look at it tonight.

Do the e-tickets or email have travel class and/or a letter (Y L M P O or something)

The booking email only quotes economy.

Economy
Confirmed

**Some/all of this Booking paid for using Frequent Flyer points

Just looked at the link, and checked my online "manage bookings", indeed the final answer is N class.

Darn.....

Current outcome is 220 SC planned to earn, + Malaysia airlines flight of "unknown SC" shall be earnt.

Will work this out til i'm blue in the face! :)

You might want to check the class of the flights to and from Fiji as well as some earn economy SC's and others earn discount economy so half the SC's.

But I fear not silver in the wallet :(.

While Malaysia is unknown, if the Finnair accrual rates are anything to go by, if you are in one of N,O, or Q on your Malaysia Airlines flights you may get nothing.
