As many of you will be aware AFF was down for about 5 hours today.
By way of explanation, we have our own dedicated server located at a Data Centre in Sydney. Evidently one of the Data Centre's upstream provider had a hardware failure, which then impacted on their service, and then on our service.
Thankfully, these unscheduled and extended outages don't happen often.
The Data Centre has assured me that they are putting processes in place to prevent future such incidents.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
