Hi Guy's

I will be giving my new Apec card a work out tomorrow QF Melb-LAX.

I know one of the good things is I can take a Fast track thru Immi in LAX but what about getting out of Melb? Can I fast track out as well?

anyway I also hit up an upgrade 2 days ago on the LAX so crossing fingers and toe's!!.

Yes, you can use the line that is marked as being for Crew, APEC and Domestic passengers.

Good luck with getting APEC clearance at LAX T4 immigration.

I went through there last month and they refused to process myself and a firne of mine that also had the APEC card :evil:

I see that you would now be in the US. How did you go at LAX T4?

Yep in the Mad House at the moment..

Apec is a must!, I had no probs at all. I used the fast lane before I left and asked our Immi if it is alright to bring a partner through with no Apec card and he said "happens all the time" and we generally do it no problem which ofcourse is not the APEC official line.

I used it when I hit LAX and even though I was atleast the first 50 off it saved me a stand in line but the buggers still catch up in the bag scramble. Anyway the drawl faced Immi man welcomed me into his world "USA USA" blah....

Well I got my upgrade with a 3 day turn in which I think is really great!. I am 3 out of 3 this year from Mel-LAX and 0-2 from Sydney - LAX.

I changed my flight this week to go from SFO-MEL via SYD and I am due to fly out of SFO Saturday with a 4 day notice, we will see what happens.

For future entries into the US where you might encounter an Immigration Official who may be ignorant on what the benefits are of the ABTC, it might be worth printing out the the following web page and having it handy next time there's an entry problem at a US port of entry:

The last point on the above web page is the one that should clarify what the ABTC card is meant to facilitate upon entry into the US.

I often wonder how knowledgeable immigration officials at Eastern ports of entry are in regards to what the ABTC is meant to offer.
