With New Years Eve over and done with a group of us (4 couples) are talking about heading to Sydney next NYE to be amongst the celebrations. Being seniors though we prefer to watch the fireworks from the comfort of a balcony in a hotel or apartment.

Booking early could help to get the right place.

Can anyone recommend somewhere with a largish balcony overlooking the harbour with great views of the fireworks?

Price is of course a consideration but sharing apartments makes it more reasonable.

Most hotels/apartments have at least a 2 night stay minimum and some up to 7 nights. Some of the hotels are already sold out for 2019.
but an alternative that would be spectacular-cruise on a tall ship.they are inside the exclusion zone so a front row spot.Expensive-$950 a head this year but you do get fed and watered.
