G'day all,

Can anyone more enlightened than me tell me if the minimum stay rules for an AONE4 have recently changed (or are being enforced in the online booking tool)?

My 'usual' RTW trip is CBR-SYD-LAX-JFK-LHR-SIN-SYD-CBR with 2 working days in the US and 24 hours or less in the UK, meaning I'm away for about 7 days total.

I tried booking this trip again for next month and am getting an error stating the minimum 10 days between first and last intl sector rule is being broken.

The AONEx fare rules state that the 10 day rule does not apply for D and A class bookings originating in South Pacific, but doesn't state if Australia counts in that region.

Can anyone advise what the correct rule should be?

Thanks,

James

The current AONE4 rules (for ex MEL) available from Expert flyer states:

Code:
MINIMUM STAY | NONE FROM/TO S.W. PACIFIC FOR FIRST CLASS AROUND THE WORLD FARES
SWP is OZ, NZ and most South Pacific islands.

For ex LAX they state:
Code:
MINIMUM STAY | UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED
             | TRAVEL FROM LAST INTERNATIONAL SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO
             | EARLIER THAN 10 DAYS AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE FIRST
             | INTERNATIONAL SECTOR.

Finally, one online xONEx rules state:
6. MINIMUM STAY

Travel on the last international sector must commence no earlier than 10 days after
commencement of the first international sector:
EXCEPTION 1 - For travel originating in Europe travel on the last intercontinental sector
must commence no earlier than 10 days after commencement of the first intercontinental
sector
EXCEPTION 2 - for travel originating South West Pacific/Hong Kong/Japan
First and Business class - none

If you are employing the on-line booking tool there is indeed a bug with this.

Thanks Serfty - I hadn't thought to look at Expert Flyer but glad that confirms they haven't actually changed the rules - they're just not applying them correctly with the online tool. I just wasn't sure if Australia counts as SWP or if they just meant the smaller island nations.

No problems - will call and book through QF telephone instead.
