How long does it take to receive the card...? I was approved on Monday and did the ID verification on the same day. Still no card today. Am I suppose to receive a text or something? I'm not sure if the ID verification bugged out? I might give them a call tomorrow. I live in metro Sydney for what its worth.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Apparently the ID verification I had done on Monday failed and I wasn't notified for the past 4 days. It wasn't until today that I called I was told that I had to go into a branch to be IDed. Absurd that no one informed me. The ID verification said it was successful as well online.

Nothing heard from ANZ after uploading (much more) income proof. I will give ANZ a call Monday and see where things are at. Have a work expense coming up. Would be nice to get this out of the way asap

Achieved min spend requirements mid November, statement date was 8 December or so.
I got the email about a Travel Bank account being created for me on 19/01/23.
I got the email for $95 credit on 30/01/2023.

My dates would be earlier than yours (not by much though) and I'm still waiting for the travel credit.

No. It ended up being less than 2 months.
 
Now, ANZ is telling me i need to one more month to get the points - so, it will be total 4 months with little hope to get the points

For anyone interested, my application went like this:

14/1: Applied
16/1: They emailed me asking for payslips. I think I uploaded five of my most recent ones.
17/1: ANZ called me and asked me for two additional payslips, as my income for one period was lower than others (I was in Singapore for a bit over a week and I'm casual). I sent them four more payslips, just to be safe. They also asked for bank statements for the past six months.
24/1: They called again and asked for a payslip for a specific fortnight, even though I had already supplied it. They also asked for bank statements up to the current day, rather than the ones I provided ending 31 December.
26/1: Called again and said that I needed to visit a branch and verify my ID, as the credit card application had created a duplicate profile and those two profiles needed to be merged to proceed to the final step. This was because I had an ANZ account, opened ages ago, that was never verified or something to that affect.
27/1: Visited the branch and completed the merge of the accounts and then called ANZ later on and they said it was all completed and ready for the outcome. I then received the approval email.
2/2: Offer letter arrived.
6/2: Card arrived and activated. :)
 
Just received a nice surprise - I cancelled this card around a month ago after receiving the points but before receiving the VA credit. Rationale was that I hardly fly Virgin and would rather start the exclusion period so I can churn again ASAP. Well I just received the VA credit, which was a welcome surprise.

I don't really find this surprising. The redemption process was managed by a 3rd party...not ANZ. Once you'd met the criteria...you'd met the criteria.
 
Does anyone know whether you need to hit your statement period at all for you to receive the text for redemption?

You can meet the minimum spend in multiple statements - $1500 by end of 3rd statement meets the requirement for bonus points. By getting message is different story-“. I met the minimum spend in dec and still haven’t got the message. Some people got it straightaway after meeting mininum spend - so nobody knows for sure what triggers the text message to claim bonus points

An update: mine appears to have arrived now (although with no mention of ANZ). It took a while. I'm happy to have received it though.

I'm assuming the Biller Code is 6007 and reference is the card number?
open a ANZ saver (free of cost) - you will get bsb and account number , transfer to this saver account , then you will be able to do a straight transfer to your credit card
 
Update: After asking for my NOA, which I did not have. I wrote back asking if there are any other documents, I can give in the place of NoA, no response from ANZ. However, in the last 4 days, I have been receiving text messages asking when the right time is to call me and discuss about my application. I reply almost immediately providing my preferred time and I did not receive any phone calls. I keep getting message everyday asking for the preferred time, but no phone calls. I'm not sure what ANZ is up to!! Sometimes I get a call from ANZ telling that they have left me a message asking for a preferred time.

Instead of asking for a preferred time, just call me already! And the thing is the text msg reads "select preferred time to call and we will call you at the preferred time next business day" and they don't ... I even waited by the phone and nothing happens!

My ANZ Black card uses BPA Biller ID of 6007 and Reference of the 16-digit credit card number. All previous ANZ cards have been the same for paying the statement amount via BPAY.
 
Hurray!!.. got the points text message , claimed and points and status credits showed up straight away in Velocity account. met the minimum spend in dec 1st week
 
I've received the points and all but it hasn't even been my first statement yet and haven't been charged my AF. What's stopping me from closing my account? This is a strange situation.

I was hoping to switch my card over to the Adventure card ASAP but I'll wait until I paid my charges off.
