My concern was some people said they did not get offer granted and had no recourse because they had no internet banking as per the offer and Anz interpretation!

What part of the offer suggested/indicated that you needed to have internet banking to be eligible?

The first page says "internet banking" Ib offer.
The 3 people at ANZ credit card department that I rang at different times all said it is an INTERNET Banking offer that to meet the guidelines you need to have INTERNET Banking with ANZ!
But hey they work in a bank customer care centre so maybe reading script/have no idea/or trying to stop people talking up free card offer as it maybe meant to be targeted!

Received cards today but no welcome pack or letter of offer yet.....grrrrr
I think last time I got them all in a welcome pack.
So I logged in to activate but stopped when said you have received and confirm letter of offer.
Waiting for that which maybe Monday? grrrrr
Wanted to start spending on it!

Well qualifying spent was reached on 30 September and the bonus has been allocated to ANZ online statement today.

Next account statement issues 19 November so should have the points by then. I'm happy no annual fee, 2 QC passes already received and now 75,000 (plus bonus 2,500 points for purchasing QF tickets).

It will be a shame to leave but I guess NAB will be up next. Probably apply in January and once set I'll leave ANZ about 4 months before annual fee is due.

Well I got all the benefits without having an ANZ Online account. So they do credit bonus points without one.

ANZ have usually been very prompt with posting bonus points in my experience.

Have you considered the St George offering instead of NAB?

How long did it take to get letter\welcome pack after cards please?

You may be able to activate by going in to a branch. I've done that in the past when the letter took ages.

Just to highlight one great benefit of this card (and the others in the range). It covers Domestic Rental Excess for the primary and any supplementary cardholder. The cover is automatic, but the driver must be a hirer or joint hirer of the vehicle and a cardholder (or supp holder!). Max claim is $5000 with an excess amount of $350 to be paid . Not many (if any) of the other main cards cover domestic car rental excess

Has anyone else noticed that ANZ Black AMEX has a 1.5% overseas transaction fee, vs the Visa which has 3%?
That makes using the AMEX for overseas transactions somewhat reasonable, although not great value at 1 cent per point.

Edit: Went to look at Super moon and on the door step the postie(normally places on the rear step) was the welcome pack.....I note that it had a redirect message on it from wrong address!
All documentation in order with Zero fee for first year documented under Annual Fee!
Now to get spending and register with small shop and update the bloody pins via ATM I see!

Edit: Nothing about 75K points for spend?
Attempted to activate via internet banking page and it told me to ring number????????

Edit: So could not activate online via internet banking account.
Rang the number and system is down.
They will activate after 1hour?
Asked about Qantas passes and told to ring concierge to organise lounge passess on day of flight?????
First time I have heard this normally they send out the cards to do what and When I like?
Rang Concierge and informed that cards obviously need to be activated and give in 2 days for them to receive info and then they will send out passes!

Love this forum. Can't believe I missed this one. Had it and cancelled in Sept 2015. Wondered why this old thread was still going and read the later posts! Hadn't applied as didn't realise there still existed a fee free offer! Love the car excess rental cover on this card too. Thanks people!

Have you PDF'ed the screen shot of the offer? If so, send a complaint to ANZ with the screenshot and ask for the fee to be refunded .....

Can see in T&C's no points accrued for payments to ATO but if I pay tax bill will this count towards the minimum spend?
