Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Am I right that ATO payments will count towards the eligible spend until 26(??) Feb?

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

But ANZ can pull this offer at anytime ..... Or if not many takers, they may reduce the spending requirement to say $500 for 3 months (purely my speculation only)!

Given they've provided no expiry date, this is certainly possible. Will likely depend on how other offerings compete with ANZ.

Gah! My expiry is 31 March!

I have just delved into the filing cabinet and am looking at a letter dated 14 January 2015 (Today :) )

Dear Mrs Coops1
Thanks for getting in touch with us. We can confirm that we've now closed your account and we're sorry to see you go........

Yippee....apart from the usual response " I DONT WANT ANOTHER CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!! "........

"bunch of flowers" time tomorrow me thinks, aka thats my annual fee :)

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Yes, i've had it explained to me that getting one of the rewards cards does not restrict your from then applying for the QFF cards...

I like having ANZ cards because of the low $250 spend to activate the overseas travel insurance and the Veloce complimentary lounge program...

So last year when it came time for my annual fee on my ANZ QF Black card i closed it down and opened up an ANZ Black Rewards card, still have the insurance and lounge access and spent $7500 so got the 75,000 Rewards points (which only transfer 2 RP:1 Virgin Velocity point and even less for SQ etc so not a great card from that aspect) but as soon as my 12 months is up from closing my ANZ QF Black card i will reapply and close my ANZ Rewards Black card...

Lower spend threshold is nice...

A foot / shoulder rub, somewhat equivalent in time to how long the significant other has to spend in line at another new financial institution to prove they actually exist, can go along way.

Although when this has to happen for a supplementary card too, I do find it somewhat mocking that they demand you prove your wife is a real person.

24 March 2015 for me..... a year to the day that the new promo is scheduled to end, so I might just sneak in.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just got my card today in the mail, pretty quick turnaround from application.

I've now activated it and will be spending $2500 over next 3 months to get the bonus ..... Should be pretty straight forward.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I just did something, dumb or not I did it. Feel free to tell me if it was stupid, I probably should have asked ya'll about it over the weekend anyway

So early last week I applied for this card when it was 75,000/$7,500 (I'm on the hunt for a card to replace my Virgin Money Velocity 1pt/$). The day I received my approval sms this new 75,000/$2,500 was released. I received my card today and called ANZ to ask if there was anything they could do and they said flat out NO, so I asked them to cancel my un-activated card. They said if I were to reapply I would be ineligible for the new offer because I would be flagged as a pre-existing customer - I cancelled anyway

Last year I applied for an AMEX for 50,000 points and 1 week later that same card came with 100,000 points - I'm still dirty about that (lol)

So yeah, I copped a credit check and gave up the card, that's a bit dumb, ai?

Well, you did make your point to that one service rep.

But at the cost of n7of9 need to wait another year before signing up for ANZ QFF bonus? That is not worth it.

I guess n7of9 can still sign up for American Express 80K offer (Premium Card AND Ultimate Card) if not already done so ...

With no malice intended, of course. I've kicked up a far bigger stink over less :)

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Got my approval for this, 2 days after being referred.

Interestingly i got a call from them this morning, at my workplace, through the public customer service number (and not my direct deskphone number) to verify my employment.

My approval email came in a couple minutes after that.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I assume if my wife is a supplementary cardholder to me she can apply and get the bonus? I realise this has probably been discussed before, but can't detail in relation this specific offer.

Ah shoot, i just realised that i closed my last anz black card in june last year, not september the year before that like I had rememebered.

I got approved for my card yesterday, lets see how this pans out I guess. I suspect i'll probably be cancelling it within the first couple of days. Should've checked properly.

Correct. It is only the cardholder.
