ANZ Platinum, 50k bonus QFF points after $1500 spend, no annual fee first year

With other cards I have just waited for the statement with the renewal fee on it, rang the financial institution and informed them I don't wish to renew. Simple really. I think that this is the best time as I have been offered another year free which I doubt would have been the case if I chose to cancel earlier.

I'm hoping to go down this route, as the earn is better than my current card, but the fee is a little higher than I'd like (ok, a lot higher).

I applied last night for the platinum card last night and was approved straight away.
I do not have a 6 figure salary.
Maybe just lucky?

Its been programmed to refer any applications which maybe considered high risk, out of the norm or requires human verification. I'm assuming I got refereed due to putting down only $200 as expenses.

I got pinged and declined for this due to too many inquiries on my credit file. Rang up and spoke to them and they put it through.

Wife got the QFF version 50k points - then this will barely be used...
I got the Rewards version 22k velocity points - then this will be used for some ato spend etc for 4 or so months until my credit score is improved and my taxable income has been manipulated to over $75k and i can get an altitude balck with a good sign-on bonus. (I need a low ato fee high reward card that is preferably not qff)

My Mother has me confused.

My parents and I have all been approved for the Black. Do we have to elect to receive 50k QF points as opposed to 50k rewards points?

Just received my cards but on the offering letter it still has the annual fees + rewards program service fees listed. Called thru customer service to enquire and was told the promo codes for this deal are apparently too new and not in their systems yet. They're getting someone to call me back in 48 hours.

As a result I haven't activated the cards yet. Anyone experienced similar issues?

Mine listed the fees but also stated that fees are not payable in the first year.
If yours is not the same, i can scan it tomorrow.

I applied for Black with minimum credit limit ($15k) on Saturday and it referred. Received an email yesterday to say "unfortunately we are unable to give you a final answer to your credit card application immediately as we need to verify your income details" which is an interesting way of saying "Approved subject to verifying income". But, turns out that's what they meant. I emailed pay slips last night and they rang this morning to confirm approval.

Applied last Friday, did not get approval straight away. ANZ rang today to verify income. Since I bank with ANZ it was pretty simple, new Black card now on it's way.

It seems that somehow I've ended up with the Rewards Black rather than the FF Black. Back to the bank to have this corrected.

Was just about to ask if you applied for the Rewards or FF card.

As a retiree I was very happy to be approved for the bog standard card - CC companies often don't 'get' superannuation as an income. I was referred for 24 hours but no further contact until I received the approval email.
However, ANZ didn't seem to want believe that we didn't have a mortgage, so to simplify the application I left the home ownership thing off.

very happy thank you

My cards came together with my Welcome Kit and I activated the cards themselves fine.

What I'm having issues activating is my login to the Rewards program at anzrewards.com. I have tried a few different browsers but to no avail.

(I got the Rewards not the QFF card as I need to top up my Points for a specific award on EY)

Activated my ANZ Rewards login over the phone and received temporary password.
Tried to login with temporary password. Got a web error (error code 005). Call centre agent has "not seen this before" and had to log a ticket with IT. Told to expect a call back in 3 business days.

Good news is that it doesn't affect my actual Rewards account, this is just the online access and I can still redeem over the phone (though a bit of a PITA to have to ring up to check Points balance). I was told the bonus Points will be posted on the 4th Statement after I make my eligible purchase.

Went into a branch yesterday to confirm my ID, activate my cards, set my pins & set up my net banking.

In and out in 20 mins with all the above done. This has probably been the most seamless credit card application i've ever made. Better not jinx it though.

Trying to do this now and not impressed. No formal waiting system, staff busy having friendly chats and most of the desks empty.

Banks are quite hit and miss i've found. A lot of branches these days seem to have this new open plan structure with unmarked desks in the middle of nowhere and no one manning them. Fortunately the branch i went to yesterday was quite old school with counters.

The branch I went into Wednesday had a screen to select what you wanted to do, which then gave you a number, so you could be called when someone was ready to "help" you.

This one had tellers and desks, but a rather unhelpful sign that had 'Accounts' and an arrow pointing at the desks. Not like you can just interrupt someone. Then staff that come out and say "I don't know who was next". A bit shabby.

Doesn't sound well run at all. Remind me to avoid that branch by the sounds of it.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing stopping you from getting the black card, platinum card and standard rewards card for a total of 150k points?

The T&Cs suggest that this should be ok, unless anyone can see something that I can't?
