Anyway to pay surcharges with points?

Just attempted a booking which costs 55000 points but still need to pay 480 odd for taxes etc... Doesnt seem to be worth it....

Anyway to book a flight without paying at all like Qantas? or asiamiles?

All (that I'm aware) airlines charge you for the taxes and what ever else they can get away with. The important thing is if you had to buy the ticket what would be the price difference? i.e. how much is each point worth for this booking?

Only you can decide the value.

Yea thats right, so the value of points just dropped dramatically given the high surcharge, but i guess thats the way it is.
