Anyone purchased insurance since the WHO declaration?

We have year long travel insurance however takes without USA usually
My insurance is world wide
However booked a month or so a go a quick trip to USA with husband
So he rang his provider and queried . Yep no problems they will suspend his year insurance and just put in a week for USA. He didn't book it thought he would do later
Now of course this latest virus is causing all sorts of issues
Husband has medical issues which is why his insurance is a medical policy (expensive my husband lol)
So just wondering if anyone has done travel insurance recently and if so has the T and C's changed at all ?

There’s a dedicated thread here regarding insurance and the current virus: Question - Has anyone been impacted by the Coronavirus? Will travel insurance cover the costs if we wanted to cancel? Especially if the flights are with points.

I wouldn’t expect your insurance to change much at all, except exclude matters which might be directly related to the virus. Any other health issues I’d expect to be covered, but flight cancellations directly linked to the virus, would not.

As always, check with your provider.

I am currently looking for a new annual policy. Can I ask who you ended up going with?Requiring coverage for some points based travel with no medical conditions
