Ryanair happens all the time. Busy times they have a box on a stick and they walk around with it and place it over the carry on cases. Doesn’t fit pay 60 euro

The idea just makes me think ofYou haven’t flown until you have had the Ryanair experience
Welcome to AFF @elizabeth1Yes, I’ve had my checked bags measured at check-in before. It was during a flight with a budget airline, and they had a strict weight limit. They actually used a scale to weigh my bag before allowing me to check it in. I ended up having to take a few items out to avoid paying extra fees. It was a bit of a hassle, but at least I was prepared for it.
I've had them do this to a 9'8" surfboard bag and was a bit worried but I think it's more just to manage the loading. It was within weight restrictions so they had no issues.Japan airlines are notorious for measuring anything that looks oversized.
Ryanair gets all the bad wraps but I reckon its better then Easyjet & Wizz. You haven’t flown until you have had the Ryanair experience
