Hi everyone,

has anyone encountered problems with making bookings and/or after booking, problems with ticketing etc, with Expedia's Brazil website?

Is it worth the hassle for saving a couple hundred dollars on my desired trip, or is it best to book direct with the airline?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Que depende se você entende português

I haven't had any issues. Google Chrome is great for translating the website and chances are if you do hit a snag you can call via VOIP and have a good chance of getting put through to an agent who speaks English.

In other words yes it's worth it.

I love Google translate.

I did notice that when I used it on expedia.co.br it also translate the currency symbol without converting the numbers. For instance:

Before the page translate R$4.824

After the translate £ 4,824

Two very different prices as displayed but the same underlying actual price.

Hint. The price hasn't changed.

I also think that if there had been problems they would have been posted on the larger thread.

Difficult to communicate if you want/need to change flights. That's the main issue. If dates set in concrete not a problem.

Yes I have noticed it and submitted it as a bug. Easy to check the non translated page for confirmation.

Who have you submitted this as a bug to, the free google translate service. Good luck on that! It's intended as a translation service not a currency conversion service.

I submitted feedback to Google about an incorrect symbol, nothing to do with using Google translate for currency conversion.
