FINALLY managed to gain access via Firebox and Internet Explorer 10 minutes ago.

Despite many failed attempts all day.

WHERE Virgin source their tech Geniuses perplexes me. Maybe they buy them on ebay.

Just made 2 bookings and only got a confirmation email for 1. How long should I wait? Hopefully if I have to call them it isn't difficult, I didn't note the booking reference. Its not in my Velocity account as I booked it for someone else.

Hi all,

We've been made aware of an issue with trying to navigate to the Velocity eStore after logging in via the Virgin Australia site.
This issue is being investigated and will be resolved as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the workaround is to access the eStore by logging in via the Velocity Frequent Flyer site rather than the Virgin Australia site. This workaround will work on any of the major browsers.

Thanks for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards
The Velocity Team

Are you also able to try get them to fix the following issue which has been happening for a very long time?

> Vist eStore
> Login to eStore
> Get redirected to Velocity site to login again
> login to Velocity site
>Revisit eStore
> Go to login to estore again which now works as you're logged into the velocity site.

We shouldn't have to jump thru this many steps just to login to the estore each time

Thanks for agreeing there has been an issue, and hopefully it will get sorted soon. :)

For your data input I never use the VIRGIN website, only Velocity and use it several times a week successfully, with no issues to access eStore merchants, and buy off them, giving me some extra points, and I am sure making money for Virgin from those merchants. WIN-WIN. When it works.

Back to my original post, it certainty was not working a day or so back as others confirm, and you agree with.

I spent a few $1000 with eStore merchants at that time, and was unable to do it via the usual cookie tracked link, where Virgin then credits my account automatically with the points a month or so later.

Can you please touch base with me at ozstamps at gmail dot com and I can furnish proof of these purchases, and get the points credited.

I've wasted about 2 hours on this so far, going in circles via 3 browsers, phoning the offshore "Help" line, who cheerfully stated there was no issue known to them, emailing the Platinum desk who said they'd look into it and advise, and as usual never advised further, and then starting this thread.

Hopefully the point credit will be smoother and FAR less time consuming. :D
