Anyone else having issues with logging into Velocity today?

Anyone else having issues with logging into Velocity today?

Been trying all day - via Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and my phone, and keep getting messages saying there is an error.

NOTHING works.

Anyone else getting the message?

And all give me the message below saying I cannot log on or do anything with my account, and to contact the “Help” line. Tried partner's account and same deal with her.

The “Help” line of course is answered by Bangladesh or Calcutta etc, and they can never actually 'help' with anything, as usual!

They assure me there are zero technical reports of any fault. Also Typical.

They suggested I use different browsers, and to send Virgin Velocity a screen shot of the message I see. So that in a few days, I may get an answer. :confused:

I am about to buy $3000 of goods off a merchant using the e-store link from Velocity, that I access every week and it has always worked fine.

I need to buy them today, and would normally get 6000 Virgin points if the site was working – which it is not, and neither is there any tech advice from Velocity that there is any issue.

So I trust Virgin will later manually add those 6000 points – and indeed a few 1000 bonus point are hopefully in order due to their tech crash, that has wasted an hour of my time, and that their “Unhelp Desk” in Calcutta assures me is not a known issue. :(

WHY their Tech department does not display a message stating -

“WE are experiencing a Log In Tech issue – apologies – we will be back up soon” they'd have saved 1000s of wasted member hours today as I assume the issue is widespread?.
 
Yup couldn't log into the eStore kept looping back to the velocity my account page..

I literally wasted on hour on it, as I assumed it was just something my end - new big,big, Windows update that had only just download etc, sometimes conflicts with these type of things.

THEN wait on line for ever when phoning the "Platinum Unhelp Desk" to be cheerfully assured there were no reports of any such thing. :evil::evil::evil:

Then I could not even log into my account to see how many more SC I need this year to re-quality, or check next flight bookings etc, so it seemed all of Velocity was down?

emailed the Platinum desk 5 hours ago as Calcutta advised, with a screen shot but of course zero response from them. :shock:

I can bet it will now take me a further hour of dead ends to get the 6000 miles they owe.

When I go to E-Store Homepage, I then have to sign in again... which is normal

And then the screen takes me back to "My Account" Velocity page!

I click E-Store again

I login... again

I go back to "My Account" on the Velocity page

and repeat


So its even more cough*** than usual

I can sign into my Velocity account but...

When I go to E-Store Homepage, I then have to sign in again... which is normal

And then the screen takes me back to "My Account" Velocity page!

I click E-Store again

I login... again

I go back to "My Account" on the Velocity page

and repeat

Thought I'd give it a test.

Same thing happening on Chrome and Firefox. Looks to me like they've changed their login process at velocityfrequentflyer.com as well, directed me to a second page to log in - looks similar to the online check in page.

Anyone else get that??

Can still access the normal velocity page and to check SC/bookings etc.
 
Things work fine for me......apart from the usual points / flight not posting!:evil: Chasing again.....

Thanks for confirmation .. is ANYONE here able to use the eStore area? That was my query.

There are masses of leading merchants in there, and buying off any of them earns Velocity points .. often 1000s a time in my case.

However you need to be tracked via cookies, by first entering via the Velocity site.
 
Yes! Weird...

I had 2 on Sunday the 4th I had to claim as well! They ended up crediting them instantly over the phone.

I can't believe they have added another 'click' to login to your account, it is getting worse and worse.

I remember last yr when it took AGES there was a thread and it transpired for quite a few it was the same date (might even have been another Sunday - a day of rest for VA maybe?:p). Guess I better find the email I used last time to send my boarding pass into as it's obviously more than just a VA delay. Flight credited fairly soon after I think.

They obviously wanted the same pretty branding as other parts of the VA experience. Then once you're logged in you realise it's just another case of lipstick on a pig!
 
I'm able to login to the estore as of half an hour ago, maybe try now?
Its working for me... If you login from the eStore it will redirect you back to the main "My Account" .. Login again, go back to eStore and it's all "working" again.
 
Tried it on IE and get this - same as yesterday -

Partner tried it on Chrome and got urged to 'Clear her cache' which she did and also got nowhere.

The Velocity IT Department needs a few more bananas it seems. What a joke.
