I'm a premier status member now and got
bumped up to economy plus flight for an upcoming
flight 839/840. Any experiences on what's it like?
Do the economy plus passengers at least get
decent FA's?

Don't get too excited about economy plus. It's really only economy, similar to TG's. Couple of inches more leg space, that's all.

But, make the most of it!

i think it's 35" seat pitch instead of 32" you do notice it, but that's about it. there are a heap of seats in economy plus, so it's not like you will feel special, be treated special, etc, if is really no different except for the seat pitch. flight attendants all the same, some can be quite alot of fun, just depends. i find them all good fun generally.

food is the same, and really really really bad. meat loaf or pasta... meat loaf or pasta... never changes... sometimes you get chicken... but the pasta that goes with it has alot to be desired as well!

but hey, they're cheap, they have old rickety 747-400s, which they promote have h20 toiletries throughout, maybe in biz, never in economy, except on one rare occasion i did a transpac... they're supposedly in all economy toilets on the australia-us flights.

now e+ also, is shared by many many non premiers, they seat people there the desk staff feel like, if you're on a more expensive economy class ticket (ie H, Y class) they'll put you there... etc...

now e+ on p.s. service within the us main routes LA-JFK, SF-JFK, LA-ORD, are very snazzy indeed. it's an all E+ flight plus biz and first class. hot meal, h2o toiletries, 1 laptop power socket per 3 seats. 2 drinks service, more experienced flight attendants, etc... really quite impressive. they have this on the UA840 extension flight from LA to JFK originating in SYD.
