Anybody else for NCL or GLA

Only EK fly to Newcastle or Glasgow. Does anybody else or have they heard of any other International airline flying to NCL or GLA. I have heard a rumour that Qatar and Etihad are looking/trying to get landing right to these airports. The reason I ask this question is beside self interest (my wife is a border Scot). Is that we have a large circle of Friends, and they all fly Emirates. As they have no interest in going via London (any airport). Yes Qatar fly via Manchester, but it is to far from Scotland. It would be very interesting to know what sort of numbers that EK are flying into these two airports.

Plenty of browsing to be had at Newcastle Airport - Destinations & Airlines and BAA Glasgow: Destinations and airlines respectively!

GLA is my real home airport although I've lived in OZ for 13 years. When self -funding / short notice have flown EK , but work and maintaining WP means that I use QF/OW most of the time. I have always found EK inbound to GLA to be good but outbound have driven to MAN due to connection times.
