So here's the problem..........we have 4 IB flights next April/May as part of a OW RTW J award. Flights are ORY-MAD-MUC and MUC-MAD-JFK. I was able to select seats on all flights just after booking several months ago but there has since been minor time changes and of course all my seat selections disappeared in the process.
Now if I try and select seats a message appears "Due to the characteristics of this flight, to carry out this (seat) request ring..........(which is a Spanish number which I'm reluctant to call having been unable to get anyone to speak decipherable English when we had problems with 2 IB flights last year). With seat selections on previous IB flights I found that if I could not select seats on my first try, if I repeated the process 2-3 times in a row their system would let me "in".
So the question is "Does anyone know any tricks to get around IB's online seat selection?"
