Any tricks or tips for finding the mythical cheap J flights on Iberia?

I'm tempted to spend a couple of extra days in Europe doing some of the cheap mythical Iberia J flights that work out to about $2 or so per SC but am struggling to find any at the moment - any tips on how to find them?

EDI-LHR-MAD-PMI is one of the usual routes for this. Can be tricky to find though but Google Flights is pretty good. Can see $A302 on 13 April, which would net 140SCs.

LHR-MAD-BCN is another option although you're usually looking at a long layover at MAD.

It also depends in what time period you're looking at.

We fly J between ALC/VLC to LHR/LGW 3 or 4 times a year. Iberia operated will be via MAD whilst BA operated is direct. Usually can pick up for around AUD $250 but sometimes have purchased for $220.

I reckon you’d need do a transit through Madrid to a somewhat smaller city like Vigo or Santiago de Compastelo

If you’re starting in the UK, then add any sensible departure port: LHR, LGW, EDI, MAN etc (I’m not sure what other UK ports BA/IB fly to Spain?).

For destinations, the world is your oyster. Maybe start with BCN and then select any and all nearby airports that IB flies to!
