Any Perks? [Better to credit to Velocity or Krisflyer on SQ?]

Ok, so this is a bit of a first world problem I get it but worth asking the question...

I am flying on Singapore Airlines to Mumbai (Via Singapore) I am a VA Platinum and also a KrisFlyer Elite Gold. I want that status credits for VA so have attached that FF number to the booking BUT is there any benefit to me changing it to my KrisFlyer number? (Eg: possible upgrades etc)

No. KF gold is not really rated very highly in terms of perks. Need to be PPS or Solitaire. Probably equivalent to VA WP. But of course YMMV.

If you’re flying on the cheapest economy ticket, you have to pay to select seats... unless you have KrisFlyer status in which case it’s free (although you can change your frequent flyer number to Velocity after you’ve chosen the seat). That’s the one standout benefit I can think of.
