Any difference in baggage allowance

I have a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Sydney to Vancouver. The international bag allowance is 30kg plus 14kg cabin luggage. As this was made as one booking, do I have the same allowance on domestic leg as international leg. Tried looking on my itinerary but it’s showing baggage info not currently available.

Just adding to this thread instead of starting another. Does the International allowance also apply to carry on allowances.

For example, if you're in business class on an international flight you're allowed two carry on bags. Would this apply to the domestic leg before the international?

Would it matter if you're in a smaller aircraft where space may not be as available?

And what happens if you're in economy for the domestic leg and in business for the international leg?

Are you asking about all-Qantas services or those involving codeshare or interline carriers? As best I can tell, carry-on allowances are not listed on the ticket and are only dependent on the rules of the operating carrier. Note there are specific rules for Dash-8 services. From the T&C's I can't find any evidence that carry-on rules extend to connecting flights in the same way that checked baggage does, but would be curious to know if people have real-world examples.

Note that you can expect different rules for different operating carriers - this even applies for Jetstar flights (although gate agents may be lenient if you show you are on a connecting QF itinerary). I know people have gotten into trouble with this in the past by not checking their operating carrier's carry-on rules.

Thanks, it was primarily for a QF Dom to QF Intl Carry on allowance. They do make this comment on the Carry On allowance page you've also linked:

I'm just thinking of my own circumstance where I may have a QFi in business class, and therefore have 2xCarry-On allowance, but with a prior QFd connection in Y where it might be deemed that I am only allowed the single item. But my interpretation of the above comment, is that I can take both as that's what I'm packing for?

No, carry on is limited to the aircraft in operation, simply because it's only checked or enforced per sector, and they don't care what flight you took before or are taking next. Pack for the lower of the two.

Dash 8s are pretty flexible anyway because your second piece, or anything oversized, will end up in the hold anyway.
