Any cheaper ways of staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village Honolulu

Hi,

I will be attending a conference based at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort next May.

Is there any cheaper way of booking Hilton rooms? eg can you buy their loyalty points to get rooms cheaper?

Just wondering if any tricks as accommodation in Hawaii is expensive. Then going onto the Big Island and that ain't cheap either.

I don't know much about the Hilton program so not sure if any cheap ways. I will be a Hilton Gold member (bought status through MilePoint offer) so will get free breakfast and WiFi.

Good idea re Govt rates. I just checked with my account at www.government.travel but they aren't listed there as a supplier. I will email them and ask about Govt rates.

You can check them online, used advanced search and click govt rate.

Hilton Hawaiian Village is huge, have stayed next block at the Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk, nice apartments, well located and much cheaper about AUD$2K for a week. Hilton has great bars and eateries. See if you can find few bodies and rent a 8 seater full stretch with tour guide driver off ABC Limos for USD$250, 4 hour cruise around the beaches. PS.
