Old friends we caught up with Friday said they'd completed a Tauck cruise/tour which also included Bolivia. They raved about it.
I've been following The World's current Ross Sea to Argentina expedition. We left from Hobart but this time they left from Dunedin.People seem to have forgotten that you can cruise to Antarctica from Australia or NZ as well. yes it does take longer but you do land on the Antarctic Continent. If you do try to get a cruise that calls at Macquarie Island. not as much ice as South Georgia but the wildlife is incredible. Getting harder to visit as I believe only 5 ships can visit per season.
Other things that can be included is Mawsons huts now 115 years old.
From NZ the NZ sub antarctic islands.
But if the Peninsula you should definitely try and include South Georgia.
$200k pp. But what an experience. This has just landed in our inbox
