We used to have a holiday house at Flinders, on the Mornington Peninsula - the house was in Bass St. A new house was built further up the street and the new people put up their street number and the name "Aswarby". The owner was astonished when I knew the name. At high school our houses were Bass, Collins, Flinders & Murray and I'm afraid after all this time "Aswarby" is about the only info I've retained.Fascinating stuff about Bass & Flinders.
Bass a surgeon at age 18 and Flinders training as one at age 14 . What was wrong with you @drron?
Flinders did a lot of roaming around the SW coast as well.
