So some may have seen my prev thread re our planned holiday in september.

New plan:

BNE --> NYC --> Cuba --> Rio --> Santiago --> Buenos Aries --> Home again.

Can anyone tell me if the circle pacific fare with oneworld allows BNE--> LAX in one direction and SCL--> AKL --> BNEin the other as i think there's a rule about travelling Nth/Central pacific in one direction and south pacific in the other? Does BNE--> LAx count as central or south?

Also, will prob have to ticket NYC--> CUBa seperately (via MEX or Cancun), and may also need to backtrack to MIA to rejoin circle pacific.

Not probably, DEFINATELY.

You cannot by US law have a ticket originating in the USA also visiting Cuba, so you will have too for instance ticket NYC-CAN vv. on one ticket and CAN-HAV vv. on another, they can't be on the one ticket.

As for the ruling re SCL on the CIRCPAC fare, i'm not sure, but if it hasn't been answered by someone by the morning, ill get one of my guys to check and let me know.

Note that circle pacific fares rise sharply from Thurs 15 May. If you want the current price, I suggest you have it ticketed before COB Wednesday 14 May.

BNE-LAX counts as Sth Pacific, so based on the current itinerary you have 2 Sth Pacific crossings. Nth America to Asia e.g. HKG, and vice versa, counts as a Nth Pacific crossing.

Also note that any xCIRx itinerary containing South America automatically counts as a 29K fare i.e. the most expensive. Neither the 22K nor 26K allow South America.

Argh, bummer. looks like a series of separate tickets it is then, that'll add to the price. Or RTW i guess is also a possibility (home via RIO-LON-HK-BNE)
