Exclusively NRT-HNL-NRT complementing the 787 service
Initially only one operating, gradually increasing to 3

So finally Japan has the A380

Why do people continue to wrongly assume the ANA order is from Skymark?

The Skymark order of 6 was cancelled by Airbus. ANA did NOT pick up that order.
The 2 completed aircraft from the Skymark order were sent to EK.
ANA made a NEW order, before they made a bid on Skymark, in order to get Airbus to support them in their bid for the bankrupt airline.

Suspect it's because most people see it as a single transaction.

Without Skymark I don't think ANA would have the A380s
