Amex referral card options question

Hi all,

I have the QF Business Rewards Amex. I was looking to refer my partner to an Amex card via my referral link.

When I click on the referral link it takes you to the same card I have now. There is then a button underneath “view our other cards” which has some other card options.

If my partner signs up for one of the “view our other card” options then will I still receive the referral bonus points in my end? Or does it have to be the same card type as I have?

Is it possible to ring Amex and ask them to put a different card type on the referral options for me? Partner is wanting a personal velocity bonus point card but it’s only offering QF card for a personal one.

Yes, definitely. I referred a family member with my plat charge referral for their card which was the qf ultimate, and I got my referral bonus despite them clicking view other cards.
