So, the previous deal of 10,000 points with no annual fee has unfortunately expired. New deal is as follows:

  • 15,000 Membership Rewards points[SUP]2[/SUP] when you apply by 30 April 2015, are approved and spend $500 on your new[SUP]2[/SUP] Card within the first 2 months of Card Membership.

    $195 annual fee
I thought I'd get the ball rolling here to avoid confusion with the previous thread's title. Not sure how often Amex waives their annual fee.

(and if anyone is wishing to add to my suites-class-is-on-my-bucket-list fund, my referral link is here)

others, feel free to post your referrals. Sharing is caring.

This is the new referral deal, running until 30th April 2015. I would be very grateful if people would consider using my referral link. I'm UK based at present but with a partner living in Australia, so every referral gets me closer to home!

Sign up bonus is 15000 points - all you need to do is spend $500 on the card in the first 2 months. Annual fee is $195 but you get a free return domestic flight on Virgin every year, including checked baggage.

3 points a dollar at supermarkets, 2 points at petrol stations, 1 point everywhere else other than utilities and government, which are 1/2 point per dollar. Free travel insurance when you pay for your flights using the card. Free supplementary cards.

Please use the link below or PM me if you have any questions: https://www316.americanexpress.com/...E9ED0A5FE&mgmerSource&MGMURN=AAAAEgUPAA4JAw==

If anyone still requires a link - here you go! :D Any questions let me know. Cheers

Hi All

Complete and absolute Newbie here but I can provide a referral for this card although for some reason the link provided is only via social Media FB or LI. Not sure how to find the common link that others have posted. Please send me a PM if you want the Social Media Link or someone may be able to advise how to link normally.

Its the Platinum Edge Card and I would greatly appreciate the referral as I am just a little Aussie Battler trying to make points so I can fly to Tokyo each year with the Wife.

Send me a PM and I can add you as friend if link doesn't work .

Thanks Again

I don't think that would really qualify as a definition of an Aussie Battler.....

Haha gold.

We'd all like to pick up an extra 15k points however most of us don't lower ourselves to soliciting via online communities (especially when one isn't even a member of one).

I trust this will be deleted.

For interests sake, I did just apply for this card via my partners link. The sign up bonus for them was in their account within 48 hours.

Agree but I aint George Clooney with 1 million points "Up in the Air". Call me an average battler then with total of only 60k QF FF points.

Intend to retire at 75 with 1 million .. nice goal. And thanks for the welcome.

Have Plat charge card and thought I had free edge but was told on the phone my reserve platinum credit card is not the Edge. What are my chances of switching that to the Edge for free/getting the points?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
