I got a Gold Velocity AMEX card after receiving an offer from Velocity for 20,000 points and 50 status credits with a minimum purchase on the card. I decide to go ahead with getting the card because the 50 status credits would move me into the Gold Velocity program, Because of a "technical" glitch (words used by call centre staff) my points and Status Credits never arrived. Now I am heading on an overseas trip and this "technical glitch" means that I will not get any of the gold benefits.

Has anyone else had an issue like this? Have you managed to get any service out of AMEX???

Tweeting is generally the most effective way to get customer service with DJ and QF I have found.

I didn't know it was possible to get customer service from Telstra.

Too true. They seem to employ more people following social media than answering phones through normal means, and they actually know about the company and its offereings, which is more than can be said for most Telstra Shop employees. Furthermore, they understand broad strine, which can be handy if you tend to acquire the local accent of wherever you living rather quickly and move to DRW.
