Amex D!ck Smith and Apple

May be of interest to Apple buyers
Today had no trouble whatsoever with **** Smith price matching the Apple Store Online Student discount price on a MacAir 13inch 128g.
Given virtually out of stock everywhere at DS I was amazed.
Deal resulted in $139 off plus and extra 9000 Amex points plus 1750 Qan pts.
Not a bad deal imho.

You should have gotten them to match the JB Hifi price - 10% off the ticketed price which is already $1 below RRP.

Oh for the wisdom of hindsight.
Point of the post was to alert members that they could get 8% to 10% on Apple 365 days a year by using the student discount from Apple for price matching purposes.
Given the scarcity of the product I was far more interested in the extra 9000 Amex/ SI from DS worth around $270 to me than sitting around hoping someone may bring out a 10% off special and saving around $30 .
