Quite a bit of coverage in the last day or two about AA suspending interline agreements with Russian airlines, including stopping AA members from earning on S7.
There are a lot of nonsense headlines referring to AA suspending oneworld agreement with Aeroflot and S7, which obviously don't make sense. I think many media outlets confuse interline agreements with the oneworld alliance itself.
But it does beg the question of whether this means S7 could be suspended from oneworld (and potentially Aeroflot from Sky Team following the suspension of Delta's codeshares with Aeroflot), and whether Qantas and other oneworld carriers will also cut ties with S7.
