$176* return plus $107.58 in taxes for a total of $283.58. Sadly the asterisk hides way too much.

Yes it is a great fare but I really dislike the way that taxes add more than 60% to the actual fare. Surely it would be far more honest just to tell the actual fare including taxes?

The hotel fare is exactly as cited. Why not the airfare?

DJ and JQ are far cheaper all-in.

Pity EK's reputation down back, particularly in the 3-4-3 777 is not so stellar. Now if these were J class fares !!!

Got me! I saw the low airfare, got excited and missed the *. Oh well maybe next time.

the SYD-AKL-SYD run also operates with the A380 so it could be a good experience if you want to hop on & off various A380's, also much more useful to say you flew the EK big bird across rather than death star ;)

Thank you Flashware, I have been able to secure a great 3 day week end in Auckland flying EK412/413. The fares paid were SYD to AKL economy $169.89 one way and AKL to SYD business class one way $440 plus 2 nights at the Rendezvous Hotel for $99NZ a night.

Thank you, I have learned a lot from AFF over the last few months of reading all the posts. Very enjoyable to read all the trip reports from the regulars. I have two $1 trips with DJ coming up in May which I read about on a thread one night when I was browsing. Although I am getting worried about them as they have already changed my return trip times from Canberra and Port Macquarie during the past week.
