Hi all,

A heads up after waiting a while to speak with Zurich today. As some of you are aware, gift vouchers can be used to avoid credit card transaction charges with both Qantas and Jetstar. I was concerned if these vouchers would then count towards the $500 per person required to activate the travel insurance on the card.

The answer is yes given appropriate documentation to demonstrate:
- The voucher was charged to the card.
- The voucher was used to buy return airfares (which as discussed elsewhere need not be a return ticket, but a series of tickets that take you from Australia from your point of departure and get you back again)

The vouchers then count towards the $500 per person insurance activation requirement.
