Altitude Amex after August?

I have the Altitude Black combo card, and noticed that the Amex still doesn't have a chip. What's going to happen after August when chip and pin will be required? Has anybody received a replacement card from Westpac?

LOL they're cutting it a bit fine... less than 5 weeks left until dunno how many customers are left in the lurch for their Amex...

You can swipe the card and use a pin number. I do that now.

I thought they're phasing out mag stripes along with the PIN requirement? Or have I been getting the wrong message about that?

I think you will find that the strip has to stay. If the chip fails they still need to be able to swipe the card.

There's no mention of a chip, just PIN

It seems like the picture on their website now has a chip and ExpressPay logo. Probably worth a call to them to upgrade, but I think most PayPass/Paywave terminals do not take ExpressPay at the moment.
