Alternative to TripIt = TripWaffle

It looks like it's based on hotels, but requires the location to be understood. I just went in and fixed up one and the nights for that country updated.

Would be nice if there was a way to bulk edit data - things like aircraft types, hotel names/locations etc. Something like a spreadsheet showing all flights/stays, or at least per trip.

1870 for me.
From what was there. Id think Sri Lanka (CMB) and UAE (DXB) should be transit only.
Austria (VIE) was correctly removed.

I forwarded to TW an email from a public bus company in NZ. Same day return. However TW only show times and origin / destination for the return trip, and nothing / no details for the outward trip. The email showed both.

85. Airline - promiscuous as well.

The Aircraft Club section looks good.

Under Cabin Career it says --
Longest economy sector: 23h 51m SYD→NAN

So something has gone wrong for that 4hr flight.
(Had seemingly imported both a QF codeshare and FJ flight. After deleting codeshare and manually adding rough arrival time appears to have fixed itself)
Junk FlightRadar24 data again. Example:

ident route scheduled_out scheduled_in dur
VA1217 BNE-CBR 2010-10-05 14:00:00 2010-10-06 13:00:00 23h
JQ62 SIN-DRW 2014-02-03 16:00:00 2014-02-04 14:30:00 22.5h
QF843 DRW-SYD 2014-02-15 14:30:00 2014-02-16 13:00:00 22.5h
VA1354 DRW-SYD 2014-02-22 14:30:00 2014-02-23 13:00:00 22.5h
QF3245 LAX-YYZ 2013-11-09 08:00:00 2013-11-10 05:00:00 21h

I'll get it sorted.

Thank you for the report: bug confirmed and fixed. The return transport leg overwrote the outward leg, thinking it was a dupe. Your trip should appear as expected now.

@tripwaffle I've noticed when entering in events and such manually we only get the option to select 15min increments, whereas a Robot input will match the exact minute. Is there any chance we could have an exact time picker?

Hi there, if you ignore the time picker thingo, you should be able to type times directly in with your keyboard. Let me know if any issues though of course.

redid the export and seems to be scraping aircraft type. But not all of them are updated in the trips, most are set to "auto detect"
One more thing I noticed in JSON, there seems to be an issue identifying the flight no.
In the below example, it identified the flight as AA472 instead of TG472

{
"type": "air",
"title": "AA472",
"start": "2014-03-09 17:05:00",
"end": "2014-03-09 22:35:00",
"start_tz": "Australia/Sydney",
"end_tz": "Asia/Bangkok",
"location_start": "Sydney (SYD)",
"location_end": "Bangkok (BKK)",
"confirmation": "CB69ZL, MHEPCD, D94HLT",
"notes": "",
"seat": "",
"aircraft": "747",
"start_terminal": "",
"end_terminal": "",
"start_gate": "",
"end_gate": "",
"operating_airline": "TG",
"operating_flight_number": "TG472",
"marketing_airline": "AA"
},

I’m having to edit a lot of my FR24 imported flights and have learned to ignore the time picker thingo and just type in the departure time four digits - colon is automatically inserted - tab tab and then four digits for the arrival time. Much quicker even if the time is :15 etc.

This might have already been noted (forgive me if so), but some of the airline codes are incorrect. Or rather, the AI is strugging with codes that have been retired and reused.

Examples from my data:
DJ (former Virgin Blue) coming up as Air Dijbouti
3K (former Jetstar Asia) comes up as Fedex
TT (Former Tiger Air) comes up as Scott
CO (former Continental) coughing up as ???

The odd one out is TL which is the current code for Air North but is coming up as TMA Cargo.

Found three issues on our end and shipped fixes:
  1. Aircraft strings in tripit such as "BOEING 737 800 JET Meals:" were being silently dropped instead of recognised as a 737-800
  2. Codeshare info (that TG/AA pairing) wasn't being saved when the import matched an existing flight
  3. A rollback bug was clearing aircraft updates whenever an imported trip had no new events to add
I also re-ran the fix against everyone's previously imported data.
Across (what I guess) is your account: aircraft details up from 59 flights to 228, and codeshare info from 2 flights to 18.

Your AA472 SYD->BKK now shows: 747, operated by Thai Airways as TG472.

Thanks for pointing this out, and making things a little bit better for everyone importing from tripit.
