Alternative to TripIt = TripWaffle

Hey @tripwaffle

Not sure if this is by design .... I note that when a flight extends accross two days (i.e. flying from the USA to Australia where you leave on a Monday and land on a Wednesday, Tripwaffle doesn't show the link between days like it normally does... For examples heres a flight from NYC-SYD where you loose a day there is no line linking the flights..

Here is a normal overnighter where you go across one day and there is a line showing a link between the entries.

Not sure if this is something thats worth looking into updating...... just an observation

I just put that there to see if you'd notice 😉 Should be rendering properly now. Much appreciated.

Not many flight like that.
How does TE handle the opposite. Landing before it takes off due to crossing date line?

Cheers for sharing that feedback.
TBH I'm pretty naive when it comes to the points game... in terms of researching the request, anywhere you could point me to learn the basics / mechanics?
This is a borderline impossible request to fulfil without a full time 2 pizza team of devs 🤣 and I say this having built in this space a little - building my own little site purely to calculate for qantas earn rate across partners (Qantas Status Credits Calculator) I had to cut down the functionality from what I had in mind.

It's an n^2 problem space but in reality maintaining such a feature is more like becoming sisyphus because of how manual the process is. AT BEST, you could support individual airlines earn rates when credited to their own program only, but then you would be committing to constant maintenance of a feature that is quite niche and not much of a value add.
