All SYD-MEL VA flights Sold Out after 11am 26 March 2026?

I've always wondered about SYD's ability to cope with this kind of weather... LHR has much worse weather and flights arrive and depart reasonably frequently (a little slower, of course). Flights still depart and arrive in HKG, TPE, HND, PDG, etc during typhoons! The flights at these airports only seem to get cancelled when the typhoon is really really bad! 🤔

Funnily enough I was thinking the same. Spend over an hour in the hold over SYD last night for "weather related sequencing and approach" and to be honest it was a smooth as. Separation at Heathrow is extended during rubbish weather but certainly unless it's really atrocious, not subject to the delay and cancellations that SYD seem to roll out.
